Quick Start

Welcome to GarSync 2.0! This guide will help you get set up in just a few minutes so you can start managing your sports data professionally.

1. Installation & Registration

Download the App

  1. Open the app and tap "Sign Up".
  2. Enter your email and request a verification code.
  3. Set your password (a mix of letters and numbers is recommended).
  4. After logging in, you can customize your profile (nickname and avatar) in the Settings.

2. Binding Sports Platforms

GarSync's core feature is cross-platform data synchronization. Before syncing, you need to authorize GarSync to access your workout data.

Authorization Steps

  1. Tap the "Sync" icon in the bottom navigation bar (second from the left).
  2. Tap the "Account Management" icon (profile with a gear) on the left side of the top app bar.
  3. In the "Accounts" page, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner.
  4. Select your platform from the list (e.g., Garmin, Strava, COROS, etc.).
  5. Enter Credentials:
    • Garmin/COROS/Strava: You will be redirected to the official OAuth page. Enter your credentials to authorize.
    • Phone-based Apps (Keep/Codoon): Enter your registered mobile number and verification code as prompted.
  6. Once authorized, the platform will appear in your "Connected Accounts" list.

💡 Pro Tip: If you use Garmin, be careful to choose between the "Garmin China" and "Garmin Global" icons to ensure you connect to the correct server region.

3. Setting Up Your First Sync Task

Once you have at least two accounts linked (one source, one target), you can automate your data flow.

  1. Return to the "Sync" page.
  2. Tap the "New Task" icon (plus in a circle) in the top right corner.
  3. Select Source: Tap "From where to sync" and choose your data source (e.g., Garmin).
  4. Select Targets: Tap "Where to sync to" and select one or more destination platforms (e.g., Strava).
  5. Configure Options:
    • Auto-Sync: When enabled, new activities from the source will trigger a sync immediately.
    • Sync History: Enable this if you want to migrate past activities.
  6. Tap "Save" in the top right corner.

GarSync will now automatically move your data based on these settings every time you upload a new activity.

From now on, every time you finish a workout on Garmin, GarSync will automatically move it to your selected targets in the background.
